Prime Social Group announces Breakaway Music Festival in Columbus, Dal

Major midwest promoter Prime Social Group is poised to "break away" from the pack of summer music events with a unique twist on the multi-genre festival. Today, PSG announced the inaugural Breakaway Music Festival taking place in Columbus, OH on Saturday, September 14th, to be followed immediately by the second edition of the event just one week later, September 21st, in Dallas, TX. The twist? Both fests will take place in each city's soccer stadium.

The Columbus Crew will hand over their digs for the night to none other than Bassnectar with Empire of the Sun, Porter Robinson, Tritonal, and a whole host of big names from hip-hop and indie to boot. FC Dallas will then step aside the next week setting the stage for another Empire of the Sun performance alongside Big Gigantic, Crizzly, Danny Avila, and the inimitible Wu-Tang Clan, for good measure.

The slogan of these events is "Your Field. Your Fest." So we're expecting a ton of local talent to climb onto each bill, and depending on how these first two test events go, we should be seeing plenty of EDM, indie, and hip-hop, as well as fans of all stripes, to be filling the soccer stadium in your town.
