With his massive fall tour kicking off tomorrow in Flagstaff, AZ, Phutureprimitive today released his much anticipated Searching For Beauty in the Darkest Places Part 2 coda to the series which first dropped in 2013.

Rain has been busy in the studio preparing for this national Searching For Beauty tour, presented by TheUntz.com, and featuring Colorado's live electro-soul duo Bass Physics. The six-track album is a surprise and a delight to fans who are looking forward to catching the psychedelic bass producer over the next two months.

Opening the album is the darkly beautiful "Journey to Lands End," which features those signature modulated Vangelis bass synths and talkbox wubs we've come to know and love from Phutureprimitive. The cabinet-rattling bass gets us excited for his many forthcoming tour stops.

In an interesting juxtaposition, his most straightforward melodic bass song, "Innocence Lost," is followed by his most psychedelic bass contribution, "Surface Tension." These two flow right into "Energy Flow," which was our first taste of the new Phutureprimitive material. Closing with a collaboration from The Human Experience and Colibri, the acoustic-electric interplay of "Falling" is a fitting endcap.

Make sure to grab your tickets for the big fall tour--this new album will hold you over until Phutureprimitive rolls into town.
