Favorite ThisLoyal Divide Releases "Death Breath" Single

With a beat scene mentality and a Morrissey-esque penchant for finding the beauty in heartbreak, Chicago's Loyal Divide stand on the brink of a major record release and national tour. Constructing an otherworldly sound with organic instruments and fuzzed out samplers, the band has crafted a sound that is both haunting and oddly infectious. With opening slots for deadmau5, Chromeo, and Crystal Castles, not to mention a forthcoming North Coast Music Festival appearance with STS9, Neon Indian, and Wiz Khalifa, Loyal Divide is more at home in the world of electronica than the hipster hell of indie- and post-rock.

Bodice Ripper, which is slated for release on Oct. 4th through the daring Kilo Records label, has already received much advanced praise for its bold single "Vision Vision." The video for the track, directed by BBGUN, is both unnerving and undeniable. To celebrate the four-piece's Kilo signing, as well as the launch of their new website, www.loyaldividemusic.com, the group is releasing "Death Breath," a percussion-driven romp reminiscent of early Beck. You can download the track for free if you retweet a message on the band's homepage.
