Favorite ThisLance Herbstrong mash-up of Pretty Lights & Jimi Hendrix is moving again

Published: March 8, 2013

For Halloween last year we debuted the Lance Herbstrong mash-up of Pretty Lights & Jimi Hendrix,
"Finally Moving" as a FRESH BEATZ feature. Well, it seems the track (along with some killer new cover art) has been rediscovered by the masses and is making moves again. Call it a rebirth or a resurrection, we're not exactly sure, but we do know that everyone is getting down to it!  Its gotten over 6,000 plays in the past 2 days, its been at #1 on the Twitter music charts and is currently spreading like wild fire.  And the best part...it's available as a FREE DOWNLOAD through their Facebook page.

Give it a listen, grab the free download, and thank whoever it was that decided to get this track moving again!

A few words from the band about the mash-up:

Last summer, as we were road trippin, we were listening to Pretty Lights. "Finally Moving" came on and Pete (Peter Di Stefano of Porno For Pyros) said it sounded like Jimi Hendrix. He grabbed his guitar and started strumming "All Along The Watch Tower" as it played..

"No reason to get excited,

The thief, he kindly spoke
There are many here among us,
Who feel that life is but a joke...
"

We struggled with the Etta James sample.... To be honest, it’s played out, over-used and we spent months over-thinking it. We worried the over-use of it would take away from the beauty of two legendary musicians singing to each other from the grave. As we stood on the stage at Wakarusa Music Festival last summer watching Pretty Lights with our team and friends.. Derek played "Finally Moving." Watching the crowd singing “sometimes I get a good feeling” together in the beautiful Ozark mountains we knew we had to leave it in.

Enjoy!
