While everybody and their grandmother was grooving to Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" as it slowly caught fire over the past year or so, the female vocalist from the track, New Zealand's Kimbra, started making her own crossover move into the indie-pop Zeitgeist. Her unique delivery and depth lend her instant pop legitimacy, and now dance DJs are salivating over her solo work. Belgian Aeroplane leapt at the chance to put a sugary beat behind the new queen of the mainstream. "Two Way Street" jitters and shuffles with an Italo-disco bounce, scattering carefree vibes like rose petals in its wake. This breezy pop hit is just the latest in a long line of remixes from Vito de Luca, taking on Grace Jones, Friendly Fires, and Sebastien Tellier, among others. American fans of this flashy DJ can catch him TONIGHT at City Bisco at the Mann Center in Philadelphia alongside Diplo, RJD2, Cinnamon Chasers, and of course, The Disco Biscuits.
