I've been licking my chops waiting to get my hands on the next Khiva track since we premiered her “Polaris” collab with Youngsta a few months back.
Lucky for me, TRUTH's Deep, Dark & Dangerous label has a fresh batch of bass coming early next month. On July 5th, DDD releases Khiva's Butterfly Effect EP, four fresh tracks of deep dubstep delights.
Today we feature her title track, which opens with some classic New Orleans top-line jazz, that real shit from a full century ago, that immediately descends into some extra dirty low end mayhem. The entire EP is jam-packed with these growling, subsonic frequencies that make well known why she's become such a break out star in the bass world.
Khiva is in downtown Los Angeles this weekend as part of the Outlook L.A. pre-party. Then she heads to Yonderville next weekend for the big throwdown on Marvin's Mountaintop. Then she'll be at Shambhala in August and has the big Bass Center slot over Labor Day Weekend at the Hampton Coliseum with Bassnectar.
