The Untz Festival 2017How's this for serendipity? We announce Ivy Lab will be playing The Untz Festival, and the next day the UK trio of Sabre, Stray, and Halogenix announce they'll be releasing a brand new EP on Critical Music.

Uhhh... yeah... we planned it.

Strutting around Europe with a powerful sound, strapped with plenty of bass and fellow UNTZ compatriot Tsuruda riding shotgun, the trio is warming up for a Stateside spring run with SHADES (featuring fellow British bass act Alix Perez and another festival star, EPROM).

Today's news comes two years after the three-piece released its 20/20 double vinyl on Critical, and five years since the squad broke out big in the drum 'n' bass scene in 2012. Pre-orders of the Peninsula EP will begin March 13.

The title track is a booming, sweltering, Middle Eastern flavored banger with the patience of a slow gait and smiles for days. Confidence in audio form. It's thick and brash with horns and plenty of kicks pushing ten tons of subsonic sound through those speakers. It's claps, is what I'm saying.

Catch Ivy Lab alonside EPROM, Tsuruda, TRUTH, The Librarian, and many more at The Untz Festival, June 2-4 in Mariposa, California. Welcome to the bass lineup of the summer, my friends.
