It's a huge weekend in Atlanta, and you can probably guess who's going to be at the center of all the action. The EDM powerhouse IRIS Presents is once again going all out on its Saturday night weekly at RUSH LOUNGE (2715 Buford Highway), bringing Atlanta's favorite hip-hop trio Mighty High Coup out for an official Sweetwater 420 after party on April 19th.
The rapping threesome rose to popularity on the back of its stellar collaboration with Bassnectar on "808," which has become a favorite in the superstar DJ's catalog. Since 2010, the group has worked with some of the biggest names in EDM, while keeping its roots in the thriving Atlanta scene.
Joining the Saturday night bash is IRIS favorite MK Ultra, who is going to be tag-teaming the subwoofers with regional favorite Mantis, who absolutely know how to bring the heavy. The rip-roaring duo has released material on Play Me, Ultragore, Never Say Die, and more--in a nutshell, the creme de la creme of bass music labels.
As always, an insane supporting cast will continue to uphold IRIS' Saturday nights as the best EDM experience in Atlanta with tons of special guests, wild production, and top-notch sound.
On top of throwing the big Saturday night party, IRIS Presents is also hosting the first ever EDM stage at the Sweetwater 420 Festival. Welcome to the Not So Silent Disco! Who's on this incredible lineup? Glad you asked. Some of our favorite artists from around the country are descending on Atlanta this weekend to represent the electronic side of things.
The stage is headlined by Two Fresh--the Nicholls boys are going to bring it on home. The twins from Asheville have spent a lot of time in Atlanta, so this is going to be a blowout performance. Their frequent touring companion NiT GriT is also joining the fun, along with a double dip of PLM artists in SuperVision and Paul Basic.
Phutureprimitive will be holding down the psychedelic side of things, along with his tour bestie, ill-esha, and southern hero Archnemesis will be packing the stage for his much-anticipated performance. George Acosta, Up Until Now, An-ten-nae and more are making the very first EDM installment at Sweetwater one to remember.
All the fun starts at 4:20pm on Friday, and doesn't stop until Sunday night. Get more information at sweetwater420fest.com and, of course, at irispresents.com.
