Headtronics

Headtronics is an electronic project from DJ Logic (Medeski, Martin and Wood; John Popper Project), Steve Molitz (Particle; Phil Lesh and Friends) and Ohio bass prodigy Freekbass (Bootsy Collins; Buckethead) that has already received national attention though the artists have only performed a very limited number of dates.

The trio was birthed from a collaborative effort during last summer's Universal Church of Love and Music Funk Festival in PA. Afterward, Freekbass said, "It turned out to be one of those magical musical moments, so we decided to play some full shows together." The accolades and influences of the individual artists of Headtronics ranges from funk, to rock and roll, to hip-hop, but together Logic, Molitz and Freekbass create electronic funk that appeals to fans of all genres.

With only select performances scheduled thus far for 2011, Headtronics (named by the legendary Bootsy Collins) will bring its electronic infused funk to Cleveland, OH, on Thursday, January 27, 2011. The fresh beats of DJ Logic, groundbreaking bass lines of Freekbass and truly unique keyboard skills of Steve Molitz create a style and show not to be missed!

When:  Thursday, January 27, 2011
Where:  Beachland Ballroom, 15711 Waterloo Road, Cleveland, OH 44110
Show Details:  ALL AGES, Doors: 8pm, $15.00 GA

Additionally, Headtronics finishes their three night midwest run on Friday night in Lexington, KY (Cosmic Charlie's) and Sat night in Cincinnati (Play by Play).
