In appreciation of his fans support, Doug Appling also known as Emancipator, released “Elephant Survival” after reaching 30,000 likes on his Facebook page. The downtempo tune features samples from “Forgiveness” by American string band Elephant Revival. This track does everything a remix should do. Blending electronica and hip-hop, the composer sheds new light on the original cut, stamping it with his trademark organic trip-hop sound. Simultaneously, it contains soulful vocals and folk influences encompassing the most important aspects of the original. Since his debut album in 2006, Emancipator has enjoyed phenomenal success, creating a name for himself around the world and giving him the opportunity to work with amazing colleagues like Ooah, Blockhead, Michal Menert, and Big Gigantic.
