Brooklyn's finest (guitarist) Derek VanScoten today released a brand new Bon Iver remix. Taking one of the most powerful voices of our time, D.V.S* weaves his signature spooky licks in between a pulsing heartbeat. Justin Vernon's haunting howls shimmer across reflective passages soaked in reverb. VanScoten's attempt at nu-disco yields something far less sugary and transient than most cuts of its ilk. This is a far heavier number that sits on you long after it fades.

Today also marks the beginnign of a six-week US tour for D.V.S*. Begining tonight at The Canal Club in Richmond, VA, VanScoten will head up and down the East Coat before shooting over to the southwest with Zoogma. After a Pretty Lights late night, he'll then head on a southwest swing with The Polish Ambassador and Elfkowitz. Enjoy this remix, because it might be his last output for a while as he pounds the pavement.
