Yheti Far From The TreeWhat goes around, comes around.

It was a year ago that Bristol bass duo DISKORD started dropping DMVU type beats all over the yard, and their label, Circus Records, was like “Who the fuck is that and why aren't they on our roster?”

Fast forward a year, and Matthew Philpott-Jones has become one of the UK bass mainstay's rapidest growing artists, and this breakout star still hasn't dropped his album, yet.

To return the favor to his DISKORD buddies, DMVU today drops a freebie of his “Electrify” remix, which of course is filled with all sorts of weirdness, thumping bass, and plenty of dolphin calls. Circuis is hyped on this dude, and you know we are, too. Speaking from firsthand knowledge, this track absolutely shreds a dance floor.

Philpott-Jones is in the thick of his tour with The Untz Festival alums Yheti and Toadface this fall. The Far From The Tree tour heads up into the northeast this weekend. Tonight the crew is at Toads Place in New Haven, followed by Photo City Improv in Rochester tomorrow night, with a big Rough Trade show in the Big Apple on Saturday night. Then it's off to Asheville, Knoxville, and Indianapolis, and the southwest the weekend after that with Boston, Oakland, LA, and Denver still to come after that.

And if you haven't checked out DMVU's hilarious Hollywood debut in one of our first (but certainly not last) stupid videos for the festival this year, go ahead and check that out below. Trigger warning for touring musicians.
