After spending half a year on tour with another person, most musicians tend to form an acute distaste for one another, or at the very least, value their time apart. That's not the case for Matthew Philpott-Jones and Tyler Holler, who love each other very much, and could spend years out on the road without tiring of each other's company.
We could only be so lucky.
Today, DMVU dropped “Much Bueno,” a tribute to Yheti, who inspires everyone in the underground bass industry, from G Jones to Space Jesus to the Sultan of Smash at the top of the heap, himself, Bassnectar, with his unabashed experimentalism and penchant for the odd. We were blessed to have both Yheti and DMVU out at The Untz Festival this year, and these two road warriors continue to knock out tons of dates. Yheti is on a number of gigs with his little bro Toadface, and DMVU just kicked off his tour with Of The Trees (both acts, also alums of our festival). We just wish for a speedy reunion for Matt and Tyler.
