Bursting out of the fertile Nottingham scene in the late aughts, today's podcast guest is Tony Cook, better known as Cookie Monsta. Growling wobbles and punchy synths underscore the in-your-face antics of Monsta's music. His hits "Ginger Pubes" and "Riot" have become staples in the sets of the world's top dubstep DJs. The talented young producer is one of the stars of the superstar label Circus Records founded by Flux Pavilion and Doctor P, who along with Funtcase and Brown & Gammon are really defining UK dubstep, and the bass music scene as a whole right now with their massive hits and crowd pleasing stage shows.
