There’s no glitch in your hearing when people tell you about Los Angeles breaking ground with new sounds and up and coming artists. DJ/Producer ChrisB. has un-evened the playing field for glitch-hop and trap artists with his new six-track EP, Triangular Objects.

Released via Gravitas Recordings, Triangular Objects sets the stage for ChrisB. as a true master of bit crushers, sweeps and swung beats that leave fellow virtuosi pleasantly perplexed.  The rules of engagement with respect to tempo structure and contemporary composition fly out the door. His opening track, “Fluid Dynamics,” would force most listeners to make certain their MP3 player doesn’t resemble a Discman without anti-shock. However, that feeling is short lived as the following tracks provide listeners with trap style beats and layered chopped synths.

Bass enthusiasts will marvel at the varying tonal characteristics of each hit and appreciate the meticulously arranged and mosaic approach to his music. Even with acute attention demanded early on, ChrisB. allows listeners to groove and broaden melodic horizons you didn’t believe could be further extended.
