After six years of collaborating and producing dance hits such as "Light The Skies," "Saved Again," and "You Never Said," trio Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren have finally released their debut album, Give Me A Sound, out now on Armada. Full of the progressive trance sound that so many have come to love, along with Jaren's powerful vocals, Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren certainly don't disappoint with their first full-length since coming together in 2006.

Starting with Jaren's soulful, reverberating vocals, layers of lasery synths, and a fast-paced dance beat, the album's title track, "Give Me A Sound," kicks off the album on a high note. As Jaren sings, "Give me a sound/I'll take it, turn it around/And make it something you'll drown in baby," it's easy to get swept up in the depth of sound Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren have become so well-known for.

"Circles," utilizes a big '80s synth feel, complete with occasional robotic back-up vocals, as Jaren's vocals soar along with the synths. "Ready For Go," featuring Fine Taste, is a dance floor-ready smash hit with a quick beat, a pulsing bass line, and Jaren's vocals encouraging listeners to "dance until we see the light."

"Starting Right Now," features Chris Jones, whose vocals mesh seamlessly with Jaren's and create even more depth of sound in the vocal section specifically, matching the emotional lyrics.

Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren show off the trio's diversity on "Our Neighborhood," which features rock-style guitars, smashing cymbals, and easily adaptable vocals from Jaren to create much appreciated variety on the album.

"Let's Run Away," features Jaren's sister, Josie, and the vocal harmony between the two elevates the track, along with waves of bubbly synths, a hand-clap beat, and an understated bass line. Similarly, "Part Of Me," shifts the focus to Jaren's vocals with a smattering of synths and a simple bass line.

Next, the album features popular Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren tracks "Beggin' You," and "Man On The Run." Jaren's wide range on "Beggin' You," as well as a steady groove and soft piano melodies, really highlight the emotion behind the lyrics. "Man On The Run," featuring Dash Berlin, has a more up-tempo feel with vibrating bass, a pounding beat, and more soaring synths.

Keeping with the up-tempo feel to close the album out, "Witness" (which features Rank 1) and "Another World" have heavy, throbbing dance beats and airy, bouncy synths that match the urgency in Jaren's voice.

Lastly, Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren close out a superb debut release with "Our Little Secret," slowing things down again to focus on the echoing whispers of Jaren, a heavy bass beat, and bursts of strings to really create the secretive feel of the track.

After six years together, Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren have built such a strong chemistry together that it's no wonder Give Me A Sound flows so well from one track to the next, with a great diversity of sound. Whether it's heavy dance floor hits, or slower more emotional tracks, Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren have got it down pat.
