In our first installment in the SONIC BLOOM Fresh Beatz Series, we dive headlong into the deep catalog of Adham Shaikh. The Canadian producer from the rural area of British Columbia where Shambhala touches down each year approaches the release of his full-length Basswalla album, dropping May 26 on Black Swan Sounds. The album's tracklist is split between original compositions, and reworkings of highlights from his career.

Adham Shaikh reworks "Collective" into a Yogi Dub Mix, blending his South Asian roots with that spaced out island feel. Sounding a bit like Scratch Perry landed up in Mumbai, the reverb-soaked cut blends styles and sounds seamlessly into a genre-defying stew of uncategorizable goodness.

Adham Shaikh will hit SONIC BLOOM's 10th anniversary in Rye, CO from June 18-21, joining his compatriots in the global bass scene Desert Dwellers, Kaminanda, Dirtwire, Merkaba and many, many more.
