Dubble Penetration was born in Bellingham, Washington during late September 2009. This dubstep duo is made up of William Costello, a.k.a. Penny Wide Pupils, and Jon Curran, a.k.a. The Duskah. The DJ’s met at Burning Man and realized they each had an affinity for electronic music, bass, and low frequency oscillators. Since then, the two like minded friends started playing regularly in Seattle and Bellingham , bringing fiery, whomptastic energy and beats to the Northwest scene. The pair just released their highly anticipated third mix, “P-ASSed Due,” after receiving exceptional reviews on their first mix, “Bust-a-Grime” and extensive downloads on their second mix, “Just The Tip.” Dubble Penetration is currently unsigned, but is regularly booked through Bassdrop Music.
As 2011 is coming to a close, DP is branching out into the field of production, working in the Ableton environment. A first e.p. is said to be completed by mid December which will contain the top tier bass music genres including Dubstep, Midtempo, and Moombahton. The Duskah is also working on a side project with Suda called “Panda XXX-Press” producing Dubstep, Drumstep, and Midtempo. That project is said to hit the scene in early to late January.
DP has shared the stage with many heavey hitters in the game such as Ill.Gates, SPL, Nasty Nasty, Gladkill, Pressha, Mr. Rogers, Splatinum, Sporeganic, Carly D, Dr Knobs, Jantsen, Ben Samples, Chris B, Sugarpill, An-Ten-Nae, and Guttstar just to name a few. They have also performed at some of the hottest venus in seattle such as Contour, Tirnity, LSC, iMusic and many more. These two display the utmost professionalism and skill when on stage and are accumulating a following rapidly in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. With these two taking the northwest by storm, many big things are anticipated in DP’s future.
